Join us for the 2nd Annual Viking Fest on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Del Mar Collegeās Windward Campus! This community-wide celebration features five exciting zones packed with activities, entertainment, food, and fun ā all highlighting the spirit of the Viking and the amazing programs at Del Mar College.
Weāll kick things off with the Viking 5K, where participants can show off their Viking pride and compete for prizes including Best Beard, Best Braids, and Best Overall Viking Costume.
And donāt miss the always thrilling Dia de los Muertos Welding Competition, showcasing the incredible skills of our students and partners as they compete for top honors.

- What is Viking Fest?
Viking Fest is Del Mar Collegeās annual community festival celebrating our students, programs, and Viking pride. It features five activity zones with the welding competitions, Viking 5K, live music, family-friendly games, campus tours, food, and more all on our Windward Campus.
- How much does it cost to attend?
Viking Fest is free and open to everyone. Core activities ā including live music, the car show, campus tours, and the Viking 5K are completely free. Food, vendor items, and a few specialty activities may require a purchase.
- Do I need to register?
Most activities donāt require registration. However,

The Welding Competition both require advance sign-up.

- What should I bring?
Bring your Viking spirit! Costumes, beards, and braids are encouraged ā especially if youāre participating in the Viking 5K costume contests. Comfortable shoes and cash/credit card for food vendors are also recommended. You're also welcome to bring chairs and blankets to enjoy the music.
- How can I stay updated?

- Is parking available?
Yes ā free parking is available on-site at the Windward Campus.
- Where do the campus tours start?
Organized campus tours for specific programs will leave from the Coleman Student Center throughout the day.
